Slumber party games

Slumber party games are a great way to add a little fun to your sleep-over. Since the whole point of a slumber party is to get some friends over, to sleep at your place, watch a movie, talk and play games, you should have something fun ready. Don't let it be just a sleep-over, really make it into a SLUMBER PARTY!

Slumber parties are generally meant for teenage girls, but boys can have them too. You can even have them, if you are a bit older. Make it an intimate "get-to-know-each-other" time with your closest friends.

Slumber party games for your sleepover:

  • Card games Since slumber parties are usually with close friends and a little more layed back, you might want to think about busting out that deck of cards and playing a few rounds of rummy, go fish or some other fun card game.
  • Charades A very popular party game where you act out something and others have to guess what it is.
  • I've never... A fun game that you can use to get some saucy secrets on your friends. A must for any slumber party.
  • Pass it forward This is a classic kids party game. It's simple and a lot of fun for younger children.
  • Pictionary This is a fun party game for any occasion. It's similar to charades, except you don't act out stuff, you draw them on paper.
  • Pin a kiss This is a version of the Valentine party game "Pin a kiss", which is a version of "Pin the tail on the donkey", that is perfect for slumber parties.
  • Pillow fight This is a classic slumber party activity. Grab a pillow, hit someone over the head with it and see what happens:)
  • Scary story Telling a scary story in the dark is actually a classic camping activity, but it can work really well at a slumber party as well.
  • Storyline It's a fun verbal party game that you can play without too much hassle.
  • Truth or dare Another fun teenage game that works really well in a slumber party setting.

About slumber parties

Slumber parties are usually a girly affair. Basically a bunch of girls get together, play some slumber party games, do some gossiping and watch a chick flick or two.

To throw a slumber party all you need is enough space and sleeping bags. You can get some snacks and drinks, make up a few activities and you're done. Girls usually use the time to do a few pedicures, manicures and hair braiding. Besides that the only thing that really comes to mind is playing board games, party games and watching movies.
